Hananoi-kun to Koi no Yamai S01

Houtarou Hidaka is a first-year high school student who values his family and friends above all else. Unable to comprehend the meaning of love, he decides to settle for a life without ever experiencing it. While spending time with his close friend at a café, Houtarou witnesses the ruthless breakup of a popular and handsome student named Hananoi. On his way home, he comes across Hananoi sitting alone in the snow and shows kindness by opening his umbrella for him. The next day, Hananoi appears in Houtarou's class and asks him to be his girlfriend. Despite being rejected, Hananoi continues to stay by Houtarou's side and does selfless acts to make him happy. Houtarou starts to feel emotions he has never experienced before. Believing these feelings could turn into love, Houtarou agrees to go out with Hananoi.
